I normally used to take time to read the non-fiction. Somehow the two books that I have mentioned
now are totally different. I could finish very quickly. The language is very
simple easy to read and grasp and at the same time the way subject portrayed also
make the reader curious to read through the book.

Author of this book worked with the
KIPP (the Knowledge Is Power Program) school. She was also founding
teacher of KIPP Infinity Charter School.
In her book she writes about various strategies that one can use in the
day-to-day classroom. These strategies that one comes across in the book are
developed over a period of time. The book also consists of various suggestions
for teachers that will help in using the strategies in the classroom. You can
find suggestions for school administrators so as to help them in understanding
the necessity of the strategies and thus helps in making decisions so as to
make the students learning an enjoyable experience. All the resources and activities that are mentioned
in the book help one to make students towards encouraging them towards the
habit of reading which is important in the present day world as lifelong
learning is part of life.
The Power of
Habit

This is an interesting book on habits.
I tried to finish very quickly as the book is easy to read though
thought provoking. I put this book along with the book on reading. As I felt consciously
one can mould the habits towards reading by inculcating the reading habit
through selecting strategies to do so. As the author suggests habits can be
changed provided will to do so. The book is in three parts which deals with
individual habits, organizational habits and the societal habits. Various case
studies are given in each part. Good one to those who feel good about reading a
nonfiction.
