Events that made me say aaaahaaa….

A very hectic week 27th September to October 3rd 2013, nonetheless I enjoy the same.

27th evening meeting in British Council Library related to a readers group that formed, meeting likeminded people and discussing the topics that made me enjoy evening.

October 1st was really hectic as I gave my consent earlier to attend two events though within the radius of 3 to 4 kms. One event at 6 pm in the British Council Library related to performance by storyteller from UK and another at 7.15pm a regular meetup of a group of book readers.

Storytelling performance by Godfrey Duncan really made me enjoy really the storytelling. Audiences which included kids and adults equally enjoyed the session. You can imagine the performance of the storyteller.

The event continued till 7.15 pm and as I had to attend another event I took auto rickshaw to travel to another venue.  I sent earlier my position to the members so they understood my position for arriving there late. The discussion took me to the various issues and made me enjoy the session and think about the same later.

On 3rd October I attended the workshop conducted by Godfrey Duncan, the way workshop explored various aspects of storytelling made me enjoy the session.

The reasons I am writing this on my blog you can ask:

Normally storytelling as I know (understand) is the primary mode of communication in some ways it’s the mode of learning as well (As a person who grew up in the age of storytelling by elders in the family) before real schooling takes place. As I explore internet various experiments are taking place and in some cases already in practice regarding the storytelling putting in the curriculum to make the learning and teaching more lively and enjoyable. India, take any corner or place has a mode of storytelling unique in its way in telling story orally using various musical instruments and body language. Why not use these modes in making the education more enjoyable and fun without missing the seriousness of curriculum.

Though the entire week was hectic, I didn't feel any tiredness or boring in the entire process.
