Once in a while I come across
books, I am not sure how I lay my hands on them but the minute I start reading
them I am not sure how time flies. At the end of it I feel that the time and
money spent on acquiring the books and reading same worth spending. At times
though I read very fast I have to take breaks so that I enjoy the spirit of
reading the book. This is what exactly happened to me when I was reading these
two books I am going to write about.
A Dog’s Purpose
A Dog’s
Journey
by W. Bruce Cameron
Let me talk to you about the book:
A Dog’s Purpose
by W. Bruce Cameron
The narrator is a dog. It starts
from the day it takes its birth and how the dog gets into a family and how the
dog becomes the part of the family particularly her relationship with the boy Ethan,
who calls the dog Bailey., later the dog dies and in her next birth once again
takes its life cycle and serves another family and the story goes on till the
dog once again meets Ethan who is now old.
A Dog’s
Journey
by W. Bruce Cameron
This book is sequel to “A Dog’s Purpose”, here once again the dog
takes its birth and now joins the family of Ethan’s granddaughter and how the
life goes on till finally reaches people who she served as a dog.
The entire
first book is hilarious though once in a while you find the touching sentences.
The way dogs behave how they feel (in case they feel) about human beings etc., the
second book seems to me more serious as the story revolves around a rebellious
school going girl and her life. What make
the second book more interesting - the thoughts of dog regarding the purpose of
the dog itself?
Though I am
not a pet lover these two books really made feel good about dogs.
