I attend workshops, events organized
by British Council Library, Hyderabad. I got a mail from BCL sometime back
regarding the events of November 2016. The name Nick Toczek followed by his
profile somehow made me check for his books and found several books, quickly
available book was “Join in or else” a collection of poems collected by Nick
Toczek that included one of his poems. He was the resource person for the three-hour
workshop on Creative Writing. I signed so that I can meet him and get to know
more of writing.
During interaction with him I
learned so much about him – poet, column writer, journalist, standup comedian, magician,
puppeteer and writes for the music magazine, and involved with a band etc. His
passion made me wonder as to how one can be active in various aspects of life.
Believe me he made every one write (not by force – but motivated) and guess
what I wrote a six-word story and a poem. In the evening the event where he
performed made me think about passion that makes really wonders.
