What a Weekend

17th and 18th of August Saturday and Sunday
spent the time with my teachers in a intellectually stimulating  way.

17th August British Council Library
organised an event with University of Hyderabad (UoH) faculty. The event is related to launching of books published as a series  6 books based on the theme "The Mutiny" novels. These books are published by DC Books Kerala. The editor of the series is Pramod K. Nayar professor of the Department of English at UoH. These 6 books luanched by Vice-Chancellor Ramakrishna Ramaswamy. Later there was a panel discussion initiated by Prof. Aloka Parasher Sen, professor of Department of History and the Dean, School of Social Sciences. Prof. Amitabha Dasgupta, Dean, School of Humanities also talked about 2 important issues one can find in the novels. After a long time I have attended an event with so much of thought provoking ideas.

18th August
Normally I pay a visit to my professor, as I get provocation which leads to an interesting discussion on various aspects of life that finally lands in talking about good books.  Like any other visit, this time the topic of discussion on various abilities of intellectuals and their writings, why there is no much stimulating works of that sort despite lots of information available. I was amazed as to ability of my teacher for reciting verse and quotes of various literary giants with so much of ease. These two events made me think whole day on Sunday which made me to publish this write-up.
